Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum broke the men’s marathon world record in Chicago on Sunday, becoming the first person to record a time faster than 2:01:00, crossing the line in 2:00:35. Sifan Hassan continued her stunning domination in marathon running as she made her U.S. and Chicago debut in this year's race, setting a course record and finishing with the second-fastest female marathon time ever recorded 2:13:44.
