    @eDoc20203 years ago I' ve found that most lcds are polarized at 45 degrees like this one is. My guess is this is so the display is still readable through sunglasses even if mounted in another orientation. 3

They also sold one of their models to coleco by the way, it' s super awesome you recreated the polarizing sheets.     @LucasHartmann3 years ago Afaik the polarizers do work backwards but, since they are 45 degrees, flipping actually rotates the polarizer 90 degrees. You would need to cut them rotated, preferably after sticking to the backing plastic. 1

    @thomasesr3 years ago If the polarizer has the sticky side on the wrong side you just need to cut it 90 rotated from the way you were cutting it originally. Doesn' t flipping it does the same as rotate by 90?

    @iggman183 years ago I had one of those as a kid. Themusic is different than i remember it, i wonder if there was a firmware change.
    my 8yo self discovered you could bounce the battery/power a few times and it would enter a diagnostic mode, play all the 100 pt tunes and show all the lcd cells.
    if you set the clock and alarm, a guy comes out of the passenger side of the right truck and rings a bell when the alarm goes off.
    the original battery cover slid in and locked into position.
    thanks for showing this, i remember playing with this toy a lot growing up
